Heavy equipment technician (mining equipment)

For our branch located in Val-d’Or we are looking for a heavy equipment technician (mining equipment).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and repair equipment or machinery in the workshop and directly at customer sites;
• Travel to mining sites to perform maintenance and repairs on mining vehicles;
• Perform maintenance work on new and used equipment for sale, resale or demonstration;
• Operate computerized diagnostic equipment;
• Complete purchase orders;
• Submit service reports;
• Maintain service vehicles, inventories, tools and equipment in good condition;
• Participate in maintenance training;
• Comply with health and safety regulations and policies.

Profile

• Vocational diploma in construction equipment mechanics, heavy vehicle mechanics or other related training;
• Technician experience of at least 5 years in a similar position;
• Mechanical/hydraulic/electrical aptitude;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Aptitude for collaboration;
• Bilingualism French-English to deal with French and English-speaking customers;
• Valid driver's license for travel (multi-branch or large territory).
